Mouchel see a significant reduction in travel costs with the introduction of videoconferencing services from Videocall

Challenge

Mouchel is a geographically dispersed business, with 120 offices right across Great Britain – from Northern Scotland to Cornwall and from Kent to Northern and Southern Ireland. In response to a marked increase in travel costs and the amount of management time wasted in travelling, their IT Director, Gareth Nutt, submitted a paper to the board outlining the benefits of a managed video-conferencing service. Gareth explains: “Our objectives when outsourcing the entire video-conferencing solution – equipment, line rental, managing the service, everything - were not only to reduce costs and improve communications but to remove the day-to-day management burden of managing the assets and providing the service to the business. We simply wanted to pay a monthly fee and leave the rest to an organisation whose expertise is in video-conferencing and the provision of high quality, reliable, flexible and creative solutions.”

From a short-list of potential suppliers, including some familiar brand names, Mouchel chose Videocall to provide their video-conferencing solution – from acquiring the existing equipment, supply and installation of new equipment and full service provision. Gareth says: “We initially implemented the video-conferencing solution in just two offices – Ellesmere Port and Belfast. ROI was quickly realised and Videocall soon began rolling it out to our other offices.”
