“Delivering best-in-class video-enabled collaboration solutions to our customers – on demand, first time, on time, every time - accessible across the enterprise and with minimal call on internal resources”

Videoconferencing today uses two types of network transports - ISDN (H.320) and IP (H.323). Although video-enabled communication solutions are network-independent, the choice of networks can significantly impact ROI (return on investment), particularly for those companies intending to drive up usage and quality. Additionally, customers need to consider whether to utilise their own existing connections and public or private networks.

IP
IP networks present new opportunities for providing videoconferencing as an application.  Greater bandwidth is available at a fixed cost allowing for wider deployment, higher quality and predictable ongoing costs.

Internet IP (Broadband)
The public Internet provides basic connectivity for customers looking to connect home workers or make low bandwidth calls.  Companies may find it a convenient network to expand the communications of their business to with low running costs.  However, end-to-end and high quality cannot be guaranteed.

IP WAN
Customers who have a corporate WAN upgraded to Next-Generation technologies such as MPLS may find they can make OnNet calls with guaranteed quality at high bandwidths.  Utilising an existing IP WAN could give a customer the opportunity to leverage their existing investment, thus enhancing their ROI (return on investment) both for network and conferencing.

Managed IP
This service can be provided to those customers who have not yet upgraded to MPLS, who don’t have excess capacity or whose IT/Network team are tied up on VoIP evaluation.  Managed IP can enhance a customer’s security policy by presenting physical separation from the data network, it can be cost-justified by the application and provides the means for simplified billing and central fault management.

ISDN
ISDN lines can be supplied by a customer’s PBX or direct but consideration needs to be given to issues such as upgrades and the support chain.  Direct lines are an attractive proposition to many new customers based on their low set-up cost, incremental call charges and the fact that they will not be impacted by the general considerations of the phone system.
For those customers who choose not to utilise all of their own connections, Videocall can help by providing access to our own network services.

Managed ISDN
This service enables customers to take advantage of simplified billing of video-enabled communications as an application and is also particularly attractive for those looking for external, central fault management.

Additionally services, such as pro-active monitoring and remote management, can also be provided.

Network Services can be tailored to the specific requirements of each customer and combined with products, technologies and professional services to deliver a truly end-to-end video-enabled communications solution to best serve their needs.
