They combine award-winning technologies with a comprehensive services wrap that includes business consulting, systems integration, training and managed services. Sabio have a track record of successfully helping a wide range of businesses, including some of the world’s largest organisations, transform their customer contact operations to create brilliant customer experiences.

As part of a Head Office relocation in London, Sabio approached Videocall with the intent of improving their overall collaboration across their six offices (five within the Europe and a sixth in Singapore). The current service was heavily used for a range of meetings, but too many employees still relied extensively on travel to have their meetings, predominantly due to the complexity of the existing technology and service.

Their Objectives

  • Remove complexity – Collaboration technology is renowned for being difficult to support. Sabio wanted an option whereby this was eliminated
  • Interoperability – Sabio were looking to deploy Skype for Business and required a service that would allow users to connect no matter whether they were on SIP or H323
  • Ease of use – An easy to use service for the end user will be adopted. Maintaining user workflows is a key part of ease of use
  • Multiple devices and locations – Sabio wanted a service that would allow users to arrive in a meeting using any device of their choice, and be in any location of their choice
  • Quick painless deployment – Any change to services must be carried out with no or as little disruption as possible for both end users and internal supporting staff

The Solution 

Sabio chose to partner with Videocall, in order to take advantage of their expertise, over 20 years of experience, and relationships with the world class technology providers. Sabio were confident that Videocall could deliver on their objectives and design, install and then maintain their global collaboration estate, and would offer the highest level ITIL support when required. 

Sabio deployed a range of Polycom collaboration technology based on their desire to deploy Skype for Business and the native integration that would be provided from the Polycom technology.

Polycom codecs were deployed in two of their larger meeting rooms to provide high quality enterprise experience, whilst video enabled conference phones with separate cameras were deployed in the third London meeting room, the Glasgow office and in Singapore which are all smaller and do not require traditional endpoints.

A further three countries were equipped with conference phones and cameras and Videocall maintenance and support following the success of the first round of deployment.    

The Results

Sabio have been able to integrate their Microsoft Office 365 Skype for Business deployment with their video conferencing estate, which has seen increased usage around all of their global offices. Employees can now connect from their desktops using Skype for Business and seamlessly with meeting rooms, with simple one touch to join features all within the Skype for Business workflow.

The perception of the Sabio employees that collaboration is easy to do, and delivers positive and beneficial results has been accepted by all. The number of users that are collaborating has increased, along with the range of meetings that employees are having.

Due to the success of the first stage of deployment, Sabio were quickly able to deploy further video conferencing enabled meeting rooms across Europe. Now employees in the UK, France, Spain, The Netherlands and Singapore can all collaborate where ever they are located.
